Overview

Step into the heart of Colombia’s Coffee Cultural Landscape on a private tour through Filandia and Salento, two Andean towns where colorful bahareque architecture, hilltop views, and coffee farms tell the story of a UNESCO World Heritage region.

Your English-speaking guide leads you through Filandia’s quiet streets and lookout points, then on to Salento’s Calle Real and its mirador facing the Los Nevados peaks, sharing the history and traditions behind every corner along the way.

With private transportation from Armenia, Pereira, Salento, Filandia, or Manizales, you skip the crowded jeeps and buses and move at your own pace, with time to try local trout and fresh coffee in the square. In about six hours, you’ll see why this landscape earned its UNESCO status and why travelers keep coming back for its blend of culture, nature, and flavor.

FAQs

What's included in this coffee town tour?

Your tour includes a private English-speaking guide, private hotel pickup and drop-off in private transportation, and all-risk insurance. Breakfast, lunch, and any extra purchases are not included, but you will have time to buy food and snacks on your own in both Filandia and Salento.

How much walking is involved?

Both towns are compact and easy to explore on foot, but you will walk on cobblestone streets and some mild inclines — especially in Filandia, which sits on top of a hill. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, but no special fitness level is required.

Where can you pick me up?

Pickup is available from Armenia, Pereira, Salento, Filandia, or Manizales. If your departure is from Salento or Filandia, you will be picked up by a traditional Willys jeep. From Armenia, Pereira, or Manizales, transport is by car or van.

What if it rains during the tour?

The tour runs rain or shine. Weather in the Coffee Region can change quickly, so we recommend bringing a light rain jacket. The towns are just as photogenic with a few clouds overhead, and covered spots are available for breaks.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes. Free cancellation is available up to 12 hours before the tour start time — no questions asked. Cancellations inside that window are non-refundable.
